A Night to Remember: University of Toronto Scarborough’s Humanities Gala 2025

Students in suits and ties are using Infinite Photobooth with Hedge Wall backdrop at the Gala

March 24, 2025, was a magical evening filled with culture, camaraderie, and celebration as the University of Toronto Scarborough hosted its annual Humanities Gala. This year's theme, “Global Soirée,” brought together students from diverse academic disciplines—Political Science, Public Policy, International Development Studies, Geography, and City Studies—to mark the end of the school year and unwind before the intensity of final exams.

The atmosphere was electric as attendees arrived in their vibrant cultural attire, creating a kaleidoscope of colors and patterns that celebrated the diverse backgrounds of the UTSC community. The event’s focus on inclusivity and multiculturalism was evident in every detail, from the decor to the entertainment lineup.

Unforgettable Entertainment

The Gala featured two sensational live performances by Studio Mahilo and Erico and the White Guys. Studio Mahilo’s soulful melodies and dynamic stage presence set the tone for the evening, while Erico and the White Guys’ energetic beats got everyone on their feet. Together, these bands created an unforgettable soundtrack that kept the dance floor alive all night long.
