AI DoodleBot in Toronto took center stage at Mayor Frank Scarpitti’s Lunar New Year Dinner, where nearly 900 guests gathered at the Hilton Markham to celebrate the Year of the Horse. The annual gala is one of Markham’s most anticipated cultural events — and this year, innovative event entertainment elevated the celebration to a whole new level.

Among the lion dancers, cultural performances, and community tributes, one activation had guests lining up all evening: AI DoodleBot by LOL Photobooth GTA.

The evening opened with the thunderous rhythm of traditional lion dancers, followed by the joyful arrival of the God of Fortune — symbolizing prosperity for the year ahead.

Mayor Frank Scarpitti delighted guests by taking the stage to sing, adding a personal and heartfelt moment to the celebration. Throughout the night, attendees enjoyed cultural showcases, community recognition, and festive traditions that define Markham’s Lunar New Year festivities.

Local vendors added flavor to the experience. Marathon Café served nostalgic Hong Kong–style drinks, while Petite Potato impressed guests with braised beef brisket and curry fish balls.
